Organizer: The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) has been offered by the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (formerly Association of International Education, Japan).
Objective: To evaluate and certify proficiency in Japanese of non-native speakers.
JLPT Levels: The JLPT has five levels: N1, N2, N3, N4 and N5. The easiest level is N5 and the most difficult level is N1.
JLPT N5 Exam Sections: The ability to understand basic Japanese.
JLPT N4 Exam Sections: The ability to understand basic Japanese.
JLPT N3 Exam Sections: The ability to understand Japanese used in everyday situations to a certain degree.
JLPT N2 Exam Sections: The ability to understand Japanese used in a variety of circumstances to a certain degree.
JLPT N1 Exam Sections: The ability to understand Japanese used in a variety of circumstances.
